RENEWALS FOR CURRENT POST MEMBERS
Membership dues for 2025 are now $45. If you have not renewed your membership, it is not too late.
In renewing your membership, PLEASE update any information that may have changed such as your phone number or email address. It is important that we have this information.
All checks payments made at the Post level should be made out to 'American Legion - Lt Ray Dickop Post 36'.
Currently there are three options for renewing your membership:
1. A 1-year annual membership. Current dues are $45. You can renew one of several ways.
a. The quickest and easiest is to scan the QR code below or go to mylegion.org and process the membership online with a credit card.
b. You can use the renewal notice that you will receive in the mail, complete it and mail it to the Post with a check. (The renewal notice may say $40, but the rate as of 1/1/25 is now $45).
c. Mail a check for $45 with your name and membership number to the Post to the attention of the '1st Vice Commander' or 'Membership'.
d. Lastly, you can see the 1st Vice Commander before or after a membership meeting and use cash or check.
2. A 3-year membership. Dues are $45 for each year for a total of $135. This locks you into the current dues price, even if the Post, Department or National raises membership fees. Three year renewals MUST be processed through your mylegion.org profile. If you need help with this, let the 1st Vice know and I can assist you, however, the 3-year renewal can not be processed at the Post level.
3. A Paid Up For Life membership (PUFL). The price on this varies with your age and can be a large one-time out of pocket expense. However, there are several advantages, as you never pay dues again, you never have to worry about a fee increase, and you never have to renew your membership. You are a member for life! Like the 3-year renewal, a PUFL membership MUST be paid through your mylegion.org profile. If you need help with this, let the 1st Vice know and I can assist you, howver, the PUFL membership can not be processed at the Post level.
